Remote Setup
Our skilled technicians can remotely set up your new computer so you don't have to rearrange your schedule. Typically we will:
Remove all the unnecessary junk software that comes pre-installed from the manufacturer, making your new computer slow!
Ensure your new computer is up-to-date with all the latest security patches, and protected against any threats
Install any additional hardware you've hooked up to your new computer, such as a printer or webcam
Optionally transfer your data from your old computer to your new one*
Alternatively, our technicians can come to your home, and take care of the entire process for you - even taking your new computer out of the box! Plus, we'll:
Optionally transfer all your information from your old computer to your new one — typically includes documents, music, pictures, email, contacts, favorites, etc.
Install your software, provided you have all the information we need (such as serial numbers) and either the physical disc or a download
Securely erase your sensitive data from your old computer, so there's no risk of your data falling into the wrong hands
New computer setup typically costs $100 if we set it up remotely, or $150 if we come to your house. This includes two hours of time, and additional hours will be billed for time spent in excess of two hours. Our hourly rate is $55/hour remotely and $75/hour in-home.
